Hi. I’m Sam Chisholm and I was born in 1995 (29 years old). I was born in Zimbabwe and moved to Barnstaple in Devon, United Kingdom in 2017 when I was 21 years old. I attend Grosvenor Church when I am home. I worked in the hospitality industry for 7 years before the Lord called me into missions workin 2024.

About 6 years ago, I started learning sound at my church. Since then, it has become a real passion of mine and I started to see it as a potential career choice. In 2024 after much prayer and thought, I felt the Lord saying that He wanted me to use these gifts that He has given me for Him. About the same time, Ruth had an epiphany about doing an internship with Circuit Riders who have a big music side to the organisation. So I applied, but the Lord said no until I spoke to a friend who is on staff at CR. He suggested I apply for the DTS (Discipleship Training School) if I wanted to do this more long term. I prayed about it and then applied. This time the Lord said ‘Yes’ and miraculously provided all the funding I needed within 3 weeks.

I spent 6 months in Huntington Beach, California and the Great Lakes Region of the USA(if you want to hear more in depth about what I did, I have the newsletters below that you are welcome to read!?). During this time the Lord did some amazing things in my life as He encountered me in ways that He hadn’t before. He gave me a burden for the lost and to see them come to know Him. At the end of my DTS, I prayed about whether to come back and serve on staff at CR. I felt Him saying ‘Yes’ once again and through confirmation from friends. It was officially confirmed when my application was accepted providing I get the monthly support needed.
